As a Pennsylvania citizen, Kolber received her graduate diploma from the University of Miami. Kolber started her career with the station in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. She earned a Local Sports Emmy during her tenure with WTVJ-TV located in Miami. Additionally, she was employed by WPLG-TV in Miami as well as WPEC-TV located in West Palm Beach, Florida. She became a part of ESPN in 1993 and became one of the first anchors of ESPN2 that was established. After three years, she left ESPN2 to join Fox Sports.
